Monitoring of 19 Newly Released Macaques in Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve

Karang Gading, Langkat: - The Wildlife Authority (BBKSDASU) and Scorpion Foundation carried out a post-release monitoring mission in Karang Gading Wildlife Reserve on the 11th of November 2025. The purpose of the mission was to find out if the newly released macaques in the area could adapt well with their new habitat. 

During the monitoring mission, the team did not find any dead macaques in the area but instead, the team encountered two macaques playing on trees but they avoided being approached by human.  It showed that they could adapt well with their new environment.
